BASCOM, Matilda (Tillie) Nelson Bascom was born June 20, 1901, to Daniel Morgan and Matilda Warby Nelson, in Manila, Daggett County, Utah. She died May 20, 1998, at the home of her son in Provo. She is survived by her three sons and a daughter: George (Leonora); Raymon (Illa) Vernal; Cleo (Donna) Provo; and Carma (George) Bryant of Las Vegas; and 24 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolland Almon Bascom, a granddaughter, Megan Bascom Brey, and a great-grandson, Justin Bryant. Services will be Tuesday, May 26, 1998, 10 a.m., in the Payson Park LDS Ward Chapel, 110 South 300 West. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Monday, 6-8 p.m., or at the church Tuesday, 10-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Vernal Maeser Cemetery at 4 p.m.
