Sara Cloe Rogers Haynie, 89, a resident of Provo, Utah, passed away Monday, April 12, 1993 from causes incident to age. She was born in Manassa, Colorado December 17, 1903, a daughter of Gervacius Wayne and Bernecia Jackson Rogers. She married Winfred S. Haynie June 5, 1924 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death February 18, 1985. They had been involved in business in Manassa, Colorado for many years and after retirement moved to Provo, Utah in April 1975. An Active Member of the LDS Church, she was always active in community and church projects, serving faithfully in many stake and ward callings. She loved to maintain a beautiful home and yards, and was a wonderful seamstress and cook. She was a real friend to her children and their associates, being very supportive of their worthwhile projects and activities. She is survived by one daughter, four sons, and their spouses: Ella H. and Dr. William S. Brothers, Provo; Donald L. and Hazel Haynie, Arvada, Colorado; Ralph E. and Jeannine Haynie, Denver, Colorado; W. Cornell and Karla Haynie, Pleasant Grove; and Roger L. and Carol Haynie, Walnut Creek, California. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Donna Lee Haynie. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 1993 at the Oakhills 6th Ward Chapel, 1900 N. 1500 East, Provo. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center, Provo, and at the church one hour prior to services on Saturday. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills.
